About the Foundation
The C.E.S. Foundation was created in 2007 with the mission of enhancing
learning opportunities for students of C.E.S. educational programs
including enrichment grants to C.E.S. educators.
Since its inception the C.E.S. Foundation has funded forty-three projects totaling over $23,000 to over 60 C.E.S. educational staff. Mini-grants have been awarded to projects in all C.E.S. programs. Applicants go through a rigorous, adjudicated application process and give both oral reports and written evaluations to the C.E.S. Foundation Board of Directors annually. These mini-grants are designed to foster creativity and enhance learning opportunities for C.E.S. students. Mini-grants are available to enhance all curriculum areas as well as to reinforce positive social and behavioral development. The mini-grant program awards between $250 and $750 per project based on application request and need. To see the description of current mini-grant awards click on the mini-grants heading above. Our vision in addition to supporting the mini-grant program is to provide seed money to fund new and promising projects. This year the Board of Directors has committed $7500 to fund the purchase of some iPads to be used with autistic children for literacy development in the special education division. This project originated from a mini-grant awarded last year and demonstrates the power and multiplier effect of the grants. If you would like to further the work of the C.E.S. Foundation there are several ways to contribute including a credit card option through PayPal. | News
